Always call back; no matter what.

You are only as good as your word.  When a promise (implied or actual) is made, it is up to you to follow through.  There are always obstacles that get in the way, but if the original timeline or action can not be completed, CALL.  This happens to me a lot in business.  I will use an example from this week; a truck was supposed to deliver raw materials that we have been waiting for.  Delivery was scheduled for Tuesday. The truck never appeared, and it took multiple emails and calls on our part to discover that the truck would not be in until Wednesday.  When the truck still had not arrived by noon on Wednesday, it took more phone calls, initiated by us, to find that it would not deliver until Thursday.  In the meantime, we have told customers that the long awaited material will finally be here and in production by Wednesday afternoon...
A quick phone call to let us know the truck would not be in until Thursday and life would have been much more calm for many people.
Call. It isn't hard, and by not calling you may actually upset someone even more.
That's it for this first post. I am sure the direction will change a bit, but bear with me as this is my first blog!

Take care.
